Slight edge wear to the outer cloth joints, a few faint mars to the rear cloth cover, the text is bright and clean, a very tight and clean copy in near fine condition.. Pp. xxi, 456; one foldout chart. Publishers original brick red cloth, lettered in gilt on the spine, decorated in black designs and black border lines on the front board and stamped in blind on the rear board, original yellow endpapers, sm 8vo. This is a new edition based on the sixth and final edition with additions and corrections. From the research collection of Frank W. Mahin with his bookplate on the front attached endpaper. Later from the research collection of herpetologist Lauren E. Brown, with his signature dated Sept. 7, 2000, on the front free endpaper. Not listed in Freeman.
