Johann Rudolf Wettstein (1594 - 1666) was a burgomaster of Basel who represented the Swiss Confederation at the Congress of Westphalia, resulting in recognition of Swiss independence in 1648. Extremely rare: one copy found in WorldCat. Condition: Covers badly worn, with pieces of leather missing, especially from spine. Some wormholes (not affecting text).. Assumed First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair.
