Tucson, Arizona: Loujon Press, 1966. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. The Cork Edition, limited to 1,399 copies bound with a distinctive cork front flyleaf. "Written in 1937-38 in Paris, this book was penned without carbon & gifted as a long intimate book letter to the painter Hans Reichel," a founding member of the little group which grew up around Henry Miller, Anais Nin, and Alfred Perles in the Villa Seurat of Hollowed Memory. This award-winning small-press production is printed on handmade linweave spectra paper of various colors and bound in woven tissue-covered boards. Includes a tipped-in photograph of Miller by Ina Paulandre, a self portrait by Hans Reichel, and textual drawings and reproductions. Square octavo. Original stiff white cardstock boards, printed in blue on the front panel. The dedication page is bound in upside down. A fine copy in a fine dust jacket, housed in the publisher's slipcase.
