About This Item

London : Methuen & Co , 1918. First edition. Cloth. Very Good. 7.5" by 5". none . A scarce first edition of Sax Rohmer's most ambitious work. This is a scarce first edition of Sax Rohmer's The Orchard of Tears. Sax Rohmer was an English novelist and is best remembered for his series of novels featuring the master criminal Dr. Fu Manchu. The Orchard of Tears is a strange, yet striking romance and has been described as Rohmer's most ambitious work. With thirty one pages of adverts and a Foyles receipt for the purchase of the book. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some fading to the joints and spine and some bumping to the spine and extremities. There are a few marks to the boards. Front hinge is starting but remains firm. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Very Good
