Paris: Librairie De Firmin Didot Freres, 1843. Half-Leather. Fair. Bound with leather spine, gilt titling and decoration. In fair condition. Front board and front end papers are missing. Wear and some loss to spine ends, rubbing and marking to back cover. A few small chips at the edges of the first few pages, no loss of text. Foxing to first and last few pages, a few spots of foxing and minor markings elsewhere internally, generally clean. Binding is very good, despite loss of front board. 525 pages plus 64 page essay preceding the main text. An acceptable reading copy. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall
