New York: Holt Reinhart Winston, 1970. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Octavo, 375 pages. In Very Good condition, with a Good plus dust jacket. Pale blue jacket spine with white lettering. Jacket has some small tears at the edges (none more than 1 in.) and some chipping to the lower edges and the spine, and the jacket is toned at the spine. Boards are straight with some bumping to the corners and toning to the top edge. Text block is free of markings, and shows some toning with some pages dog-eared. Book has been signed by Francis Gary Powers on the front free end page. Shelved Case 5. Powers (1927-1977) was a CIA pilot whose U-2 plane was shot down by the Soviets on May 1, 1960. 1331850.
