La prima opera "Observationes medicae" è la sua celebre che venne utilizzato come testo medico tanto che lui era conosciuto come l'Ippocrate inglese. Tra le sue scoperte la malattia conosciuta come "Il ballo di san Vito".. Ritratto di Sydenham inciso da A. Nagtegael. Segue "Epistolae responsoriae duae" sulla "On epidemicis" e "On the lues venerea". Segue "Tractatus de podagra et hydrope" sulla gestione dell'artrite. Segue "Additiones novae". L'ultimo "Schedula monitoria de novae febris ingressu" i sintomi della febbre. Antiche note manoscritte ai margini. Ottimo esemplare completo. Copertina in piena pergamena coeva con titolo e decorazioni in oro su tassello al dorso in ottime condizioni generali con lievi usure ai margini e dorso. Legatura in buone condizioni. The first work "Observationes medicae" is his famous work that was used as medical text so much that he was known as english Hyppocrates. He discovered the desease known as St Vitus Dance. Portrait of Sydenham engraved by A. Nagtegael. The second work "Epistolae responsoriae duae" about "On epidemicis" and "On the lues venerea". Then "Tractatus de podagra et hydrope" about management of arthritis. Then "Additiones novae". The last work "Schedula monitoria de novae febris ingressu" about the symptoms of fever. Antique handwritten notes in the edges. Very good complete copy. Parchment coeval cover with spine title leather label in the spine in very good conditions slightly worn in the edges and spine. Binding in good conditions. Inside pages are in very good conditions with occasional foxings. In 8. Dim. 20x13 cm. Pp. (44)+489+(1)+134+(6)+49+(1).
