Additional engraved titles, portrait and 15 plates. DIBDIN, Vol. II, p.110. "This is emphatically called the variorum edition, and is professed to be an improvement upon N. Heinsius's; it contains many additional notes, and passages are explained by frequent references to ancient history." Free front endpapers mounted over early bookplates on pastedowns. Raised bands, spine panels with gilt motifs, a few nicks with some small loss head of Vol.I. A sound very firm set. Interior contents generally clean.
