Oneida, NY: Oneida Community, 1876. Single octavo issue (36cm). 8pp, with ads for community publications and products. Whole, with sewing holes, browned: Good or better. From the newspaper of the Oneida Community, with articles on arctic exploration, the acquisition at Wallingford of a Turkish bath, community news, jokes about the coming millenium utopia, and an excerpt from John Humphrey Noyes' Home-Talk. The Oneida Circular included "a tremendous number of theological articles," but also "articles touching on national and world affairs," and reports from "other utopian and socialistic communities" (Wells p.25). WELLS (The Oneida Community Collection in the Syracuse University Library) p.24-25. DARE 1511.
