About This Item
New York: The Macaulay Company, 1930. Very good- (a tight book with lightly tanned pages and covers; sunned spine; owner's bookplate on the front pastedown). No dust jacket. Purports to be a memoir detailing a young American woman's experiences when she was caught up in World War I while living in Belgium and France. Insouciant tone of the retrospective portions, presumably written about 1930, contrasts with the contemporary journal entries of working with the wounded or lonely soldiers. . 1st Edition. Hard Cover.
