Retton was the first-ever American gymnast to win the all-around gold medal at the Olympics with two additional silver and two bronze medals. Small Folio (12 1/4 x 9 1/4"). Original black half-cloth over green boards with gilt ruling on cloth, light orange lettering and two official Olympic plaques pasted to cover. Endpapers illustrated with color maps and data of participating countries. Title page with publisher's device. This volume introduces the Los angeles and Calgary and their Olympic facilities, covers the highlights of the games and is illustrated profusely with color photographs.
