Biographies of men admired by Hubbard. Three quarter dark brown leather over lighter brown covers, attractively printed on handmade deckle edged Roycroft paper with decorative head and tail pieces in black and brown, initials in color, decorative title page. Leather worn and chipped including most of the spine covering, good hinges, sound text block, clean pages with just a few instances of light foxing, no names or other markings. Biographies include: Henry Hudson; Maurice Maeterlinck; Ingersoll; Emerson; Tolstoy; Gustave le Bon; Victor Hugo; Andrew Lang; Jean Jacques Rousseau; Edgar Allen Poe; Plutarch; Thoreau; Aristotle. This is the original on Roycroft watermarked paper, not a modern reprint.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
