Edition limited to 1475 numbered copies, this being #496. v, 216pp. Contemporary black half morocco over marbled boards, spine with raised bands, gilt floral decorations and lettering, marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt others uncut. The binding is signed by Hertzberg. Engraved color portrait frontispiece. Complete with 45 inserted plates with engravings by Jean Boussod, Manzi, and Joyant, many of which are full page. All plates with tissue guards. Wear to boards along the spine and to spine ends, a few light scuffs to leather, boards are very mildly warped. Internally extremely clean. A lavishly produced title in very good condition. ; Quarto.
