Good; bound in red cloth with gilt titling to spine and front cover, boards have some areas of discoloration, pencil marks and rubbing, light shelf wear to edges and corners; binding tight; text block clean with gilt top edge; pages clean; 79 plates, including one folding plate and nineteen tipped-in color plates, present and intact as indicated; ex-library copy with usual markings, including institutional stamps to several pages, spine label, and call number written in pencil; previous owner bookplate on inside front pastedown and name in ink on ffep "Harrold E. Gillingham 20 August 1929 Paris;" some pencil marks throughout. NOTE: Shelved in Room G. 1362435. Special Collections.
