New York: Ballantine Books, 1957. First Edition. Cloth. Fair/poor. Octavo, pp. [8], 3-188. Unstated first edition. Signed by the author front fly-leaf (no inscription). Taupe cloth-covered boards with gilt accents; bumped boards and a little discoloration on spine. Firm binding; no loose pages. Tanned edges and pages, plus some small stains on bottom edge. Dust jacket with rubbing, chips and tears, plus loss at bottom back. Dust jacket now encased in a clear, protective cover.
