Warsaw: Intrografia, 1969. 1st Edition . Soft cover. Very Good. First edition. Limited edition of 300 copies, this being No 197. The ten engravings are housed in a leather folder which is itself in a card box. The folder measures 26 × 18.5cm. 10 loose mounted engravings, one page of limitation details. Text in Polish, English and French. A delightful collection of wood-engravings of old Warsaw by Polish artist Eugeniusz Pichell (1905-1976). The engravings are: 1. Nike of Warsaw, 2. Castle Square, 3. Piwna Street, 4. The Barbicane, 5. Waski Dunaj Street, 6. The Market Place, 7. The Roofs of the City, 8. the House "Under the Ship", 9. The Church of Our Lady, and 10. Royal Palast "Lazienki". Condition: The leather folder and all ten plates are in excellent condition (though there is a little browning to the inside top edge of the folder). The box is scuffed and marked but has done a good job in keeping the plates and folder clean. A lovely set.
