A Paris, Chez Lefevre, Editeur, 1859. Nouvelle edition: Volume 1and II . Text in French. Very good paper covered marbled boards, half calf binding, raised banded spine, blind stamped decoration to spine, a hint of rubbing to extremities, minor scuffing to leather, basically clean, 8 vo. , tight and sound, Volume I: previous owner's inscription to front endpaper, dated 1912, another previous owner's inscription to the top of the page following the title page, i-lxv, 671 pages, foxing in places particularly to the early pages and towards the end of the book, pages xxxiii-lxi are stained to the bottom corner, text fully readable. Volume II similar inscriptions of previous owners, 698 pages, 509-538 have a stain to the extreme edge of the pages towards the top. An attractive pair of books. .
