Paris, Emile Hazan, M.CM.XXIX-M.CM.XXX [1929-1930]. A beautiful set of classic French comedy. Molière's complete works, in French, each volume with its original paper spine tipped in at end. Copy no. 208 of 1000 "sur verge teinte de rives, pur chiffon, à la forme." "Ce livre est sorti des Presses de l'Imprimerie Darantiere à Dijon en Mai M. CM. XXIX". Vol. 2 came out in August, Vol. 3 in September, Vol. 4 in December the same year; Vol. 5 left the presses in March and Vol. 6 in July of 1930. Six volumes; 20 cm. Uncut, untrimmed; handsomely bound in 3/4 red leather, with faux backstrips, over red-&-gold patterned paper; a little rubbing but attractive & firm. Stock#MM005b.
