Paris: Librairie Garnier Freres, 1882 In French. Complete in two volumes. Translates to: Complete Works of Moliere. With 10 color hors texte aquatint portrait plates. Laid in is the playbill for performance of two French plays in 1918 by the Department of French at Franklin College. Condition notes: Vol I: (viii), 803 numbered pp +1; Vol II: 823 numbered pp; HBs. Pages: clean, bright, tight, t.e.g., f.e. deckled, double comb marbled eps, color portrait frontis, ribbon markers; a few instances of pencil or ink marginalia or notes, previous owner's name inked to second free and page of each volume. Cover: original paper volumes beautifully rebound into quarter leather, French curl marbled paper over boards with red Morocco backstrip, five raised bands, gilt titles spine; modest shelfwear, extrems moderately worn, both volumes have damp stain to tail that extends to just above the first raised band.
