The first novel in the Beebo Brinker Chronicles. Ann’s classic novels of the 1950s and 1960s provided many lesbians of the time with a welcome chance to identify with a community, and remain vital reading today. Odd Girl Out was Bannon’s first novel and was a smash hit becoming the second highest selling paperback book of 1957.
