Contains Hearn's contributions to the "Cincinnati Enquirer'' and the ''Cincinnati Commercial''; the second volume includes his articles in the ''New Orleans Item'', the ''New Orleans Times-Democrat'' and three other publications for which he wrote in the 1880s. .

Bright and fine in dust jackets with only light smudging to spines. Slipcase shows light soiling and is nicked along the open edges (printed label on top edge is fine).
