About This Item
[1625] Small 4to (nearer to 8vo in actual size), 4pp dedication, frontispiece, 4pp ad autorem epigrammata, 584pp. Portrait frontispiece, a few woodcuts in text. Full brown calf, raised bands to spine, spine unlettered. Small chip to head of spine, a little chipping to inner margins of preliminary pages, binding rubbed, but generally a good plus copy overall. Lacks the title page, but the dedication is dated 1625, and this looks about right for the book. The first half of the book is the Observationum medicarum singularium, which is made up of four parts; de Febribus, de morbis capitisis, de morbis pectoris, de morbis viscerum concoctionis. The second half of the book is the de re medica varia, which is made up of 20 sections and an appendix. An index at the back of the book covers both works together.
