About This Item
Madrid: Oficina del Establecimiento Central, 1840. Pamphlet. 71p., sewn (threads under an old fabric backstrip) possibly per original issue. Find one illustration, a full page scene from a play (see below for description) in a technique soon after 1840 abandoned for steel engraving (stippled? we've forgotten the name) - A handleable coverless softback with dings and dirt and an ancient ownership, volume number II only. Re the engraved scene: it shows a youngish man in the vestments of nobility (or wealth) sprawled on the floor between standing women uncertain what to do with him.
