About This Item
New York: Norton, 1973. 1st Edition 2nd Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. The book is inscribed on the title page by both intrepid rowers/authors: "To Veronica, best of British luck when you swim these lousy waters John Fairfax & Sylvia Cook San Francisco 20th September 1977". Page 193 has a kind of "hanging chad" - the corner was apparently folded over when manufactured, leaving excess paper sticking out - something interesting...but trimmable. There is a short closed tear [about 1/4" long] at the top of the DJ rear panel. The book is enclosed in a clear mylar wrapper. 8vo, 255pp.
