A collection of five novels by Henry Fielding including The Adventures of Joseph Andrews, The History of the Life of the Late Mr. Jonathan Wild the Great and A Journey from this World to the Next, The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling across two volumes and The History of Amelia. All five volume were published in 1886. The Adventures of Joseph Andrews has a frontispiece and seven plates. The History of the Life of the Late Mr. Jonathan Wild has a frontispiece. The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling has a frontispiece to each volume, three plates to volume one and volume two. The History of Amelia has a frontispiece and seven plates.Collated, complete.With a bookplate to each front pastedown for George Edmund Friend. All are in half calf binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the spines. Mark to the top extremity of the front board of Amelia. Bumping to the bottom extremity of vol i. of Tom Jones and rubbing to the extremities and front board of Joseph Andres and Jonathan Wild. With a bookplate to each front pastedown for George Edmund Friend. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Very Good
