Half-leather, red, with marbled paper over boards, shows rubbing to board edges and outer hinges, spine has bright gilt decoration, all edges are marbled (same as covers). Both covers firmly attached, former owner's bookplate (David E. Norbeck), bright paper with occasional foxing, unmarked. Frontispiece of Rousseau. 690 pages.
