About This Item
1955 4to (27.5 cm), 8 ff printed recto. Hand made marbled papers wrappers with tipped in printed label. Collection of Mrs. Olga Hirsch, the widow of Paul Hirsch the celebrated music collector, consisted of over 3,500 sheets of paper and 130 books in paper wrappers or with decorated endpapers. In 1968 she bequeathed this collection to the British Library. This special exhibition was divided into the following groups: Covers, Wood block prints, Embossed papers, Marbling, Modern marbled papers, Paste papers, Modern paste papers, Paper wrappers, China and Japan, Moder lithography.
