About This Item
NY: Privately Printed, 1927. Octavo. ix, 179 pp; frontispiece; 17 b/w photo plates. Maps of the cruise on endpapers. Blue cloth-backed boards with paper labels on cover & spine, rough-cut edges. VG, a clean, unmarked copy, fore edge of illustrations page with some loss due to poor opening; light wear to spine ends and top corners, spine label a bit toned, top edge of text dusty. Overall, a solid copy of this uncommon book, a record of the honeymoon cruise of Mona Bismarck following her marriage to Harrison Williams, said to be the richest man in America at the time. Cravath, a guest on the trip, created this book as a public thank-you gift for his hosts. At the time, Williams' 'Warrior' was the largest, most expensive pleasure boat in the world.. Limited Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good.
