Westminster: Archibald Constable & Co., 1898. Book. Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 8vo. pp. xiv, 256 + 16 pages of adverts at year; b/w portrait frontispiece of the author; 9 further b/w plates; folding map at end; in-text vingette. Original green buckram cloth binding with gilt lettering, good and strong, but somewhat worn and rubbed; cloth marked and tanned. Contents good and tight, a little spotting and foxing, a few pages marked; private bookplate to the front paste-down. A good copy of the first edition. "Journey of the British explorer & ornithologist in 1894 from Kolguev Island, up the Pechora River & then west to the White Sea".
