LONDON: MACMILLAN, 1926 Blue Cloth Boards with Gilt titles to spine and upper board. 160 x 110 mm approx. xliv + 392 pp.Blue sprinkled edges to book block. Two silk markers. Maps to front end papers + 43 Other Maps and Plans as called for. First Edition 1926 (High no of other titles to rear panel of dust jacket- Southern Italy (1925). VG/Good (Book- Negligible shelf rubbing to cloth, Previous owner name in ink to half title - scored through in ink and another under. 3cm approx repaired tear to fold out frontis map (repaired with archival repair tissue). Dust Jacket not price clipped 12/- ,-Spine a little tanned- no significant shelf soiling. Restoration work-Top third section of spine re attached with magic tape to reverse and small pieces of best match coloured paper inserted in front of backing paper of removable proprietary protective sleeve so that eye not offended by small loss to extremities - max 10 x 15mm approx to head of spine/rear flap fold. No other notable defects to book or jacket).Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale.
