Edinburgh: T. Cadell Book. Very Good-. Cloth Backstrip. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Two volumes, green cloth backstrip/ boards, the volumes have been nicely repaired at the front hinge. Backstrip labels lettering worn off although the books are attractive and internally clean. Two bookplates from different previous owner's: one stating from the Evert Jansen Wendell Collection. There is no date on the title page under the publisher's name, but if these are not first edition they are definitely a very early edition. No frontispieces in either volume..

Two volume set in full smooth olive leather with dual spine labels, decoration in gilt and in blind, marbled edges and endpapers, about 7.5 inches tall. Covers rubbed and scuffed, spines sunned to a warm brown, extremities rubbed but not chipped, good hinges, sound text block, foxing to blank pages at beginning and end, otherwise pages very clean, small diamond shaped armorial bookplate of W. P. Wright inside each front cover, no other names or markings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
