1727. First Dutch Edition . No Binding. Very Good. ORIGINAL ANTIQUE ETCHING (copper plate) DATED 1727, text in Dutch. Depicted is the ANCIENT CITY OF NINEVEH with a small banner incl. a quotation from the BOOK OF JONAH. The Prophet JONAH is seen sitting under a tree (left bottom corner). The ruins of Nineveh are across the Tigris River from modern-day MOSUL in Iraq. Size of image in cm 42 x 29 cm plus margins with title . Original centerfold. Crisp paper. VERY GOOD condition.
