Appleton-Century-Crofts, 1954. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/Good-. First printing. The volume is edge rubbed with the boards lightly exposed at the corners and spine ends, and the top edges are a bit dusty. The unclipped dust jacket is chipped at the corners and spine ends (there is a 3/4" chip on the front spine joint which clips the "T" in "NIGHT"), split along the front fold, has small abrasions on the front panel and spine, has edge tears with associated creasing, is soiled on the rear panel, and finally has reinforcing tape on the verso. The jacket is now protected in mylar.
