Red cloth binding with white titles on spine, quite clean and unmarked with light wear to corners and spine heel, spine head compressed, upper front corner gently bumped, upper rear corner with indentation nearby. Tight, solid and square. Rough cut. Former owner name label on paste-down. Pages and page edges quite clean, no markings at all. Rear inner hinge cracked. Novel based on true events during World War II when the underground of occupied Denmark successfully smuggled virtually the entire population of Danish Jews, approximately 8,000 persons, into Sweden to avoid their scheduled deportation to extermination. 441 pp. 8.5 x 5.5 inches. 1967, Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, New York, USA
