Publicity material laid in. A novel in honor of the famed night witches of World War II. 092108D "Forced to bail out of his crippled aircraft behind Russian lines and unable to be repatriated, the American winds up flying as a volunteer for the Soviet Air Force. He becomes involved with a member of a Soviet regiment known to the Germans as the 'Night Witches.' These women, barely out of their teens, piloted and navigated old biplanes that had been built as trainers but were used to silently glide over German lines at night to bomb enemy positions."
