NY: G.P. Putnam's Sons. 1992. 462pp. The only real defect on the book itself is sun-fading of the top edge of the boards, which extends down 1/8" on the front board and 1/4" on the rear board. This isn't really noticeable unless the dust jacket is removed. The dust jacket is very good, at least, with only a little ruffling at the top of the rear panel and a tiny amount of crinkling at the top and bottom of the spine. (57869) . Very Good. 0399137394 . Synopsis
Former U.S. Air Force captain Dale Brown is the author of several best-selling military-action-aviation-adventure novels: Flight of the Old Dog (1987), Silver Tower (1988), Day of the Cheetah (1989), Hammerheads (1990), Sky Masters (1991), Night of the Hawk (1992), Chains of Command (1993), Storming Heaven (1994) and Shadows of Steel (1996). Dale's novels are published in 11 languages and distributed to over 70 countries. Dale was born in Buffalo, New York on November 2, 1956. He graduated from Penn State University and received an Air Force commission in 1978. He was a navigator-bombardier in the B-52G Stratofortress heavy bomber and the FB-111A supersonic medium bomber, and is the recipient of several military decorations and awards including the Air Force Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Combat Crew Award, and the Marksmanship ribbon. He flew over 2500 hours in various military tactical and training aircraft from 1978 to 1986 and was also a graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne School. Dale is a volunteer pilot for AirLifeLine, a non-profit national charitable medical transportation organization who fly needy persons free of charge to receive treatment. He also supports a number of organizations to support and promote law enforcement and reading. He is a member of the Airplane Owners and Pilots Association, The Writers Guild, and a Life Member of the Air Force Association and U.S. Naval Institute. He is a multi-engine and instrument-rated private pilot and can often be found in the skies all across the United States, piloting his Piper Aerostar 602P. On the ground, Dale enjoys tennis, scuba diving, and hockey. He lives in Incline Village, Nevada.

Items are 12mo. or 8vo or 4to. in original binding and in at least good condition unless otherwise noted. The dust jacket condition will be noted separately in the item description. Items are subject to prior sale, though we update our online inventory to remove sold books in a timely manner. Most books are posted with at least a picture of the cover, with other pictures of notable features or defects. Additional pictures of any item are available upon request. We strive to accurately and comprehensively describe the condition of each item for sale and will gladly provide further details if asked.
Standard shipping in the U.S. will go by USPS Media Rate; faster shipping will go by USPS Priority Mail. The shipping costs are based on most books weighing 2 - 4 pounds (1 - 2 kg). International shipping will cost more, unfortunately. Large, heavy books may require additional postage, but we will try to avoid this if we can.
If feasible, dust jackets will be placed in protective sleeves before shipping. If you don't like the protective sleeve, they are easy to remove without harming the dust jacket. We ship books protected by bubble wrap in carefully-taped boxes. For Priority Mail, we will usually box the book, then place the box inside a Priority Mail flat-rate envelope; most Priority Mail boxes are either too large or too small for individual books.
The "shipping times" are usually accurate, but delays can happen, as we have no influence on the national or international delivery industry! A tracking number for your package is available upon request. USPS Priority Mail shipping includes insurance.
All orders may be returned for any reason within 30 days of receipt.
