About This Item
Tucson, Arizona: Dennis McMillan Publications, 1996. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. Signed and dated by Kent Anderson on the title page. Additionally signed by publisher Dennis McMillan and dust jacket artist Michael Kellner on the copyright page, and by writer James Crumley at the conclusion of his foreword. It is 1975, and Vietnam veteran Hanson, the protagonist of Anderson's first novel, Sympathy for the Devil (1987), is a street cop in Portland, Oregon. Through a series of increasingly disorienting episodes, he dispenses rough justice and doubtful order in the toughest and most degraded parts of the city. Octavo. Original red cloth binding, with gilt titles. A fine copy in a fine dust jacket.
