Urban Verlag, 1929. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Type: Book 63 pp., sky blue cloth bdg with black-stamped front board and spine. Text in German. Illustrated with 16 b/w phototypes on plates and 9 in text, as well as 3 other b/w postcard size phototypes attached with photograph's corners on both sides on front fly leaf and to back fly leaf. Niddy Impekoven began as a six year old with her dance training in 1910 and entered in a charity event in Berlin for the first time in public. From 1914 to 1917, she was in Frankfurt am Main , then in the school gym on classic castle Bieberstein in the Rhön out. In 1918 she appeared at the Opera Unter den Linden in Berlin, her first own program, which she had studied with her teacher Heinrich Kröller. Here, as later she danced mainly to classical music. Her inspiration came from including Lotte Pritzel and Erna Pinner artistic dolls to her dolls and the spirited dances Erna Pinner dolls dance. Also known as a grotesque, amusing Trampeltanz called "Munich was tea cozy." A number of tours they performed throughout Europe. After finishing her dance career, she lived in Basel. Her legacy is preserved in the German Dance Archive in Cologne. She has also appeared in several movies. Scarce book in FINE condition.Please contact us directly for a full description.
