Fine in crisp dust jacket with some sun fade to the spine. Considered one of the cornerstone sports titles of its era, the autobiography of Hall of Fame baseball manager "Lippy" Leo Durocher. Light-hitting Durocher played defensivly outstanding shortstop for the Yankees (Babe Ruth called him "the All-American out"), Cardinals, Reds and Dodgers mostly in the 1930s. He went on to manage the Dodgers and was instrumental in the acceptance of Jackie Robinson on the team in 1947. He later managed the Giants, Cubs and Astros.
