Boston: The Stratford Company, 1935. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 46pp. Red cloth, gilt lettering. Spine darkened, a few pencil marks in margins, a sound copy Tipped-in are 2 letters; one is a typed and signed informal note to him from the author, signed "J.H. Dillard". The other letter is from Arthur D. Wright of the General Education Board, written to A.W. Armour. The General Education Board was a philanthropic organization which contributed to the John F. Slater Fund, a generous supporter of African-American education after the Civil War. A very fascinating association copy.
