Stunning black-and-white photos of New York City as seen from the street through the lens of George Forss, who peddled his prints on the streets of midtown Manhattan, where Duncan, a Marine combat photographer who went on to work for Life magazine, first met him. Forss passed away in July 2021. A FIRST EDITION, First Printing from 1984, in 136 pages, this oversized hardcover book has deep claret cloth-covered boards with gilt embossed lettering to front & spine. Condition is Near Fine: looks & feels Brand New save for a faint, semicircular dampstain on bottom edge of rear board. Does NOT impact interior or DJ in any way, just this one spot. Else, completely clean, binding straight & strong, pages white.The price-clipped DJ is also Fine, virtually flawless!
