Warmly inscribed by the author to a close friend in the year of publication. 368pp., The author was a world traveler who was lost at sea during one of his excursions. Bound in olive green cloth lettered in gilt, endpapers are maps, photo-illustrated, one plate loosely laid in, two faint circular stains to upper board, some light foxing to preliminaries, toning to outer margins, upper board a bit weak but not cracked.
