About This Item

[New Orleans]: [Luke Fontana], 1980. First Edition. [54 pp.]. Overall VG+ (a touch of internal soiling, with light wrinkling to covers). SIGNED and numbered (559 of a limited edition of 2000 copies) by Fontana and additionally INSCRIBED by him: “To Joe Burgess with jazzy memories of New Orleans wetlands May 26, 1981.” A ten-year collection of photography, 1970-1980, that was supported by a National Endowment of the Arts Photography Fellowship Grant. A wonderfully photographed collection, uncommon in commerce, of these dazzling marching bands of New Orleans.
