New York: The Macmillan Company, 1909. First Edition. Good in its original red cloth covered boards with faded gilt text on the spine and with gilt text and borders on the front board. An octavo of 8 3/16 by 5 7/8 inches with the fore edges of the front and rear boards dampness stained to a depth of one inch with no further damage beyond the first free end page. There is a more recent gift inscription on the recto side of the frontispiece. The contents are in fine condition. Without a dust jacket. 420 pages illustrated with a color frontispiece and 25 color plates and 98 plates in black and white by Joseph Pennell.
