About This Item
London : E. and R. Nutt, 1739. Cloth. Good. 14" by 9.5".. None. An uncommon Eightenth Century legal dictionary. Including interpretations and definition of legal terms, as well as notes on their history, the work describes itself as suitable for "Barristers, Students and Practicers of Law, Members of Parliament and other Gentlemen, Justices of Peace, Clergymen etc. Contains the stamp of Downing College Library to title page. Rebound in cloth binding with gilt detailing. Externally very smart, there is some rubbing to extremities and wear to boards. The hinges are also tender and the title page is becoming loose. Internally, the pages are firmly bound and are generally bright and clean aside from some agetoning, foxing to endpages and the odd spot. Good
