This is the third and final volume of a three volume work, The Centennial History of the Civil War. It can be read as an individual, self-contained narrative, or in sequence with the earlier books: The Coming Fury and Terrible Swift Sword.

This book is divided into seven chapters. Please see contents page photos for the detail.

Condition: Good. Gray cloth cover with green spine is clean with slight wear to corners and spine. End paper maps are in very good condition. Book tends to open to the heavier paper stock pages with maps in the middle of the book. Text is clean. Top of closed book pages have a couple stains. Also noted that a few pages near the back have tiny corner creases. Although binding appears to be good, book has a "lean". Please see photos.

Synopsis

Never Call Retreat: Lee and Grant: The Final Victory is the conclusion of an alternate history trilogy by former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Newt Gingrich, William R. Forstchen, and Albert S. Hanser. It was published in 2005 by Thomas Dunne Books. The other two books are Grant Comes East and '. The novel is illustrated with actual photographs of the Civil War, taken somewhat out of context.
