New York: Delacorte Press / Seymour Lawrence, 1980. First edition. Hardcover. Very good/very good. SIGNED. 275pp. Octavo [21.5 cm] Black cloth over boards with silver lettering on the backstrip. The spine is rolled, and the extremities are bumped. There are a couple of tiny stains on the front board. The dust jacket is rubbed, and the bottom fore edge corner of the rear flap has been torn out (jacket, not price-clipped). The inside flaps of the dust jacket are toned. Signed by the author on the free front endpaper. The author writes, "Thomas Berger, Grand View-on-Hudson, NY, 1 July 1994." The author has crossed out a letter penned in error in the inscription. With a typed letter, signed by the author, additionally laid in.
