Sm 8vo. 371 pp. 2nd edition. Red cloth with black titles - about near fine in a very good minus jacket that has some soiling, dampstaining, and a small chip in the center of the spine, championing and teaching basketball to scores young black students. Now known as the "Father of Black Basketball." He was posthumously inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013. From 1926 until his retirement in 1954, Henderson served as director of health and physical education for Washington D.C.'s black schools. Henderson was also an early pioneer of the NAACP. Signed on the front free endpaper: "With the best wishes of E. B. Henderson, June, 1940.
