New York: Crown Publishers, Inc., 1972. First edition [1972], with a personalized inscription signed by the author on the half-title. Well-kept copy in a worn dustjacket, generously illustrated throughout in both color and in black and white. Also includes an extensive bibliography of Wyeth's published works, which occupies about half the volume. Dark denim blue cloth with deep gray endpapers, full page color frontis portrait, 335 pages with index, color illustrated dustjacket. The book is in very good condition with some rubbing to the corners and spine ends, good hinges, sound text block, personal bookplate and 1992 gift notation on half-title, pages otherwise very clean and unmarked. The mylar protected dustjacket is has considerable edgewear and tiny closed tears along the top edge which have been repaired from the back with tape, light shelf soil, small spot at lower corners, upper corner of inner flap torn away.. Inscribed by The Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Fair. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
