First two volumes only. viii, 672pp. [3], 722pp. With an engraved frontispiece to volume one depicting 'The Duke of York, Commander in Chief' and an engraved plate to volume two showing 'His Royal Highness the Lord High Admiral'. Later blue cloth, lettered in gilt to spines. Marginal tears to first volume at p.179-180, p.381-382, p.389-390 - in no instance touching text. Browning to titles and engravings of each, with slight dust soiling to title of volume two, occasional foxing, second contents leaf of volume one working loose. Articles within this periodical include; a memoir of the Duke of York, the campaigns in Flanders 1793 and 1794, the army of China, a regimental history of the 39th Dorsetshire Regiment of Foot, ships captured and destroyed in action during the war from 1793 to 1801 and from 1803 to 1815, reports of courts martial and naval trials, the Irish brigade, campaigns in India, and war-office circulars. . Second Edition. 8vo.
